Kawempe North Member of Parliament Muhammad Ssegirinya also known as Richard Ssegirinya in some circles was among the member-elect members of parliament that have had to deal with election petitions. Following the saga of his academic documents; Kindadala has reached out to the courts of law for justice against Ssegirinya Muhammad.
Today; the high court has dismissed the election petition of Ssegirinya vs Kindadala on grounds that the elected Mp; Ssegirinya Muhammad; was not rightly served since he was in Kitalya prison on charges of inciting violence.
It should be noted that at the climax of Ssegirinya Muhammed’s academic saga; he participated in a demonstration that saw his arrest on grounds of inciting violence only to come out towards the eve of swearing-in. Upon his Kitalya prison exit; Ssegirinya Muhammed was flown out of the country to get medical attention having been critically injured during what was considered an unlawful treatment in the prison.
Kidandala says he will appeal the petition. His Lawyer Paul Kakande says that Ssegirinya was rightly served three times but he refused to accept receipt.
