Uganda’s hope for the world cup qualifiers is still alive. With four games at hand; Uganda has been locked in the third position after a 0-0 draw with Mali yesterday at St Mary’s stadium. Uganda would have topped the group if only they had won Mali, unfortunately; though was at home; they were still the underdogs because they have never won a match against Mali.
Though the 0-0 score still seemed unfair for Uganda; it was a fair result on the side of Uganda bagging at least one point in a match where they also registered a red card.
Uganda will be facing Mali on 14th November 2021 for the return leg on their journey to Qatar 2022. Rwanda is still the last in the group with only one point bagged against Kenya. In the remaining four matches; Uganda will have to play away from home against Mali and Rwanda. In the other two matches; they will host Kenya and Rwanda at home.
