Am Not Your Enemy

Music is one of the greatest revolutionary tools. Having the tools does not necessarily mean that you will always get the desired results, but at least you are guaranteed some results. In this new song that was done by Paddyman of Audio1 Studios in Kampala, the heart of Bobi Wine is captured in a cry. Here are some of the main pointers that you might have overlooked in this song.

Freedom of Speech (King Saha)

The song is introduced with a cry for freedom of speech. King Saha says that they are accusing him, yet he is innocent. He only says what he sees. But instead of people looking at the person doing the evil that is being highlighted, they are instead coming for him as though he is the one committing the crime that he is simply seeing and speaking about.

Someone would ask, why don’t you just keep quiet? The response was very simple, we are in the same boat, we are trying or doing our best to save the boat from sinking.

Chorus: Am not Your Enemy

The chorus is mainly addressed to the armed personnel. It says that I may not be your friend but do not take the absence of friendship for an enemy. I am not your enemy. We are in the same boat, am just speaking of what I see. You look at me with an evil eye because I have talked about corruption!

Nubian Li (Highlights of The Things That Are Going Wrong)

Nubian Li says that the whole system is dead. Nothing is working. Then he goes further to say that the prisons are full, hospitals are poor, roads are poor, payments are poor and in regard to the poor roads, he highlighted the recent road floods.

Bobi Wine (If Only You Could See What I see)

Bobi Wine says that we are fighting for the future. If your eyes open, you will see what I see. Last time it is me who tipped you off not to fall in the ditch but after saving you from that tragedy, you have now forgotten.

Here are the Lyrics Of The Song
