Nalumansi is Bobi Wine’s love song embedded with a political message in the background. According to Bobi Wine the national Unity Platform president, other parts of Uganda have embraced him. But his tribemates seem to be in bed with his enemy (president Museveni) who is also their enemy but simply fooling them as though he is for them.
The message can also be interpreted in light of Bobi wine being popular outside Uganda yet his fellow Ugandans are not according to him the same respect he is getting outside Uganda. In this song, Bobi Wine says that it is his beloved that the enemy uses.
It is for this reason that Bobi Wine sends a message to his beloved Nalumansi (Buganda Kingdom) that she should never cry or be mad at him in case she lands in trouble. He asks why she is secretly moving out with the man she knows very well is a thief! He asks if working they are secretly working on something that is for the good of Nalumansi with this man he identifies as a thief; why doesn’t she put it in public?
Bobi wine further asks Nalumansi to declare if she was paid so that he may know whether to place her in the category of those who are merely bought! He says that if he can confirm this, then he will better understand that the messages Nalumansi puts out are merely sponsored by the thief! The same way he bought her siblings Betty and Robinah.
Share your views in the comment section. Who do you think Bobi Wine is referring to in this song? Our guess is the Buganda Kingdom. Bobi wine didn’t seem happy after meeting the Katikiro of Buganda in their last meeting. This seems to be a message to the Katikiro of Buganda as well as the Buganda Kingdom.
