SHEEBAH KARUNGI QUITS ‘TEAM NO SLEEP’ AS HER MANSION HANGS IN BALANCE.

Celebrated artist and former ‘obsessions’ group dancer SheebahSamalieKarungi recently fell out with her longtime Manager Jeff Kiwanuka, consequently quitting the famous ‘Team No Sleep’ [TNS] group at the end of last week, where she has been since 2014.

Sheebah, who started out as a mere dancer in the now-defunct “Obsessions” Group, pressed on to her Music career with little success until she met Sizzaman who wrote her hit song ICE CREAM, produced at Monster Studios, by producer Nash Wonder in 2013 and since then she has never turned back, consequently releasing hit songs like “Twesana,” “Mummy Yo,” “John Rambo,” “Nakyuka,” and many others, with several awards to her name.

In 2014, after a bitter split with the Goodlyfe crew, Jeff Kiwa formed another Music group which he called “Team No Sleep” and in it, he managed a number of artists such as Sheebah herself, Pallaso, AK47, Beenie Gunter, Kabako, and others. This has been Sheebah’s group till this year when she threw in the towel.

The reasons as to why Sheebah has quit TNS remain scanty and a little vague but we could link them to the disagreements that she had with her manager Jeff Kiwanuka on issues of not properly promoting her music in this Pandemic, issues of the mystery surrounding her Mansion in Munyonyo with Jeff claiming ownership of the same and many others.

After Sheebah split with her Manager, the issue of her palatial residence in the upscale leafy suburb of Munyonyo, along Mulungu road, took center stage with many wondering who the real owner is. This is not new because when the Goodlyfe crew split with Jeff in 2014, he still claimed ownership of their Neverland house located in Makindye – Kizungu, and the issues were taken to courts of Law, but Jeff lost the case. So that is why many people are skeptical of who the real owner is.

WHO OWNS THE MANSION IN MUNYONYO?

There is a lot of confusion lately on who the real owner of the house in which Sheebahstays, in Munyonyo, is. A big section of people believes that the house belongs to Sheebah, while some believe that the house belongs to Jeff,  and others believe that the house belongs to Sheebah but the land on which it sits belongs to Jeff, how funny! The matter remains highly speculative but we shall wait to see how it unfolds. But whichever way it comes out, this should teach artists to separate company property from personal property to avoid such a conundrum.

OTHER ARTISTS THAT HAVE FALLEN OUT WITH JEFF IN THE RECENT PAST.

Despite being considered as one of the most successful Artiste managers Uganda has known, Jeff has on several occasions split with various artists who including Dr. Jose Chameleon. The Leon Island boss fell out with Jeff sighting issues of mismanagement of his talent and bookings by Jeff.

In 2014, the ‘Goodlyfe’ Artists Mozey Radio and Weaslebitterly fell out with Jeff sighting lack of transparency in his work and his need to take over their house in Makindye. This split was so bitter In that the ‘Talk and Talk’ hitmakers threw Jeff’s property out of their home and at one point, while at a TV interview on NTV “The beat” show, they called him a P2 dropout who couldn’t handle their international bookings. Jeff retaliated by starting a new Music group which was called Team No Sleep, that very year which turned out to be a major success.

In 2015, singer Pallaso fell out with Jeff sighting issues of witchcraft and disrespect. Sheebah is the latest to fall out with the TNS boss.

Despite all these disagreements, these artists still consider Jeff as a very hard-working manager who strongly contributed to their careers.

Many people are doubtful about whether Sheebah will remain the strong artiste that she has been, but we shall see this as time goes by. We wish the self-styled ‘Queen Karma / Swagg Mama’ success wherever she goes. God Bless.
