MTN Uganda; the official broadcast partner of the Star times Uganda premier league had set to reward football personalities and fans of the Star times Uganda premier league (SUPL). Among the categories included: MTN fans player of the season, MTN fans club of the season, and MTN fans coach of the season.
The voting was done online and the personality that had the highest number of votes online was set to be the winner. In the category of the MTN Fans coach of the season that featured;
- Waswa Bossa (Express FC) – Fans Coach of the Month Feb
- Sam Ssimbwa (URA FC) – Fans Coach of the Month March
- Baker Mbowa (Bright Stars FC) – Fans Coach of the Month April
- Douglas Bamweyana (Wakiso Giants) – Fans Coach of the Month May
Wasswa Bbosa of the Express FC has emerged as the winner of the MTN fans coach of the season securing 10 million Uganda shilling prize money.
