Ugandan musician and now politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has released a new song alongside Nubian Li titled Man & Woman. This came out shortly after Uganda’s judiciary upheld the homosexuality law.
This new song is a reaffirmation of Bobi Wine’s stand on straight marriage was received with mixed reactions. Until now the National Unity Platform (NUP), a party led by Bobi Wine has never clarified its stand against homosexuality. In a complex turn of events, during Bobi Wine’s BBC interview last year, he claimed that the law was introduced by Uganda’s current president to fight against the National Unity Platform.
Until now, the National Unity Platform is yet to make an official stand regarding the controversial law.
