According to BBC News, at least one person has been shot dead in Kenya’s capital Nairobi during the processions that seem to have gone out of hand courtesy of the leading opposition leader Raila Odinga.

The nationwide riots were sparked after Raila Odinga called upon the whole nation to rise up for what he claims is a rigged election that saw Ruto take up Kenya’s presidential seat. Among the most pressing issues he is putting at the forefront is the skyrocketing cost of living which he claims can be addressed if only the current government was willing to subsidize a number of products.

It should be noted that it is not only Kenya that is currently dealing with riots. South Africa is facing the same while Tunisia and Senegal are also on a verge of a similar breakout.
