MISSING: Fred Karuhanga
Police in Mbarara have increased the search for yet another businessman who goes missing for about two weeks.
Fred Karuhanda a 35-year businessman in Mbarara town disappeared on May second and this family failed to find him.
The missing person is the son of Nazario Muhame Bakantoda, who has a number of businesses in Mbarara town.
Fred has been operating some of his dad’s businesses including Akanya Pub, B Plus Hotel, and Muhamed Motor Spares.
This week earlier, a decaying body was found in a swamp in Rubindi and his relatives were called to identify the body, also his wife who confirmed it was him.
But after Karungas’ relatives looked at the morgue, they just told police that the body was not his.
The family trusts Karuhanga was kidnapped and killed.
His dad Mr. Bakantonda revealed to us he wished the assailants called him and approached him for any amount of cash instead of killing his child.
Remarking on the matter, the Rwizi Regional RPC Robert Walugembe said the hunt is progressing and that he directed traffic police to be keener with vehicles particularly those with tinted glasses.
