With the support of the Chinese government, Uganda is setting up its first-ever car assembling plant in its first rural industrial park in Kapeeka, Nakaseke district a few miles from the capital, Kampala, reports say that approximately $600 million has been invested in the project which is expected to create over 10,000 jobs.

Zhang’s group and Zhong Da Group will manage the diversified industries such as car assembly plant, electronics, Beef processing, Agro-processing, Tools, and Machinery which are expected to be complete by the year 2020.

Following the recent Forum on China Africa Cooperation ( FOCAC ), the Chinese president Xi Jinping announced that his government will soon invest $60 billion in Africa to boost ten major sectors such as trade and investment facility, industry and infrastructure development, public health, peace and security, poverty reduction and welfare and people to people exchange.
