The director of Hotel Africana Bulaimu Muwanga Kibirige commonly known as BMK has today breathed his last. Having battled prostate cancer for the last few years; he lost the battle today at Nairobi Hospital in Kenya. The 67-year-old has been one of the leading local investors in Uganda’s hotel industry.
Besides Hotel Africana Kampala; he had also recently established another mega branch in northern Uganda to boost the standard of accommodation in the northern region of Uganda. He also authored a book in the recent past sharing how he made his fortune in Africa.
He has been one of the top role models in the Muslim fraternity of Uganda. His death though has been expected due to his battle with prostate cancer; it remains a hard reality to resonate with amidst a ravaging pandemic that has seen a number of businesses close in the recent past.
Like the late Mulwana of Uganda batteries Limited and Jesa diaries; BMK’s legacy is expected to continue beyond his death.
