The Premier League title race has gotten tighter after Arsenal lost two points in their 2:2 draw against their London minor rivals Westham United. The game opened in Arsenal’s favor with a 2:0 lead in ten minutes courtesy of Gabriel Jesus in the 7th minute followed by Martin Odegaard in the 10th minute.
However, the game became less promising when Westham converted a penalty in the 33rd minute. At halftime, Arsenal was still in the lead and the hopes were still high regardless of losing two points in a 2:00 early lead against Liverpool in the previous match.
Arsenal’s hopes were cut short after Jarrod Bowen converted an equalizer in the 54th minute. The Liverpool nightmare started haunted until leaving Arsenal with only one point to bag in a match they had led 2:0.
With this two-point loss, Arsenal is now only separated from Manchester City by only four points difference. What has made the race tighter is the fact that Manchester City still has a game to spare and on top of that, it still has to face Arsenal whom they have not lost to in the last seven games.
At the moment, if Manchester City wins all its remaining matches, it will automatically be crowned the premier league champions. The race has now become tighter; demanding Arsenal beat Manchester City in their next meetings.
Arsenal is now left with seven matches where they have to face Southampton (80% win chances in favor of Arsenal), Manchester City ( Less than 20% chances for an Arsenal win), Chelsea (60% win chance in favor of Arsenal), Newcastle (54% chances it will end in a draw), Brighton (Less 60% chances for an Arsenal win), Nottm Forest (more 80% chances), and lastly Wolves (Less 60% chances for Arsenal to win).
Chances are higher for Arsenal to lose at least 5 points in their remaining matches while Manchester is less likely to lose more than 4 points in their remaining matches.
