Tigers In Uganda

There have been several attempts to bring tigers to Uganda for over 10 years. The challenge had always been with the kind of environment in East Africa being considered unnatural for the tigers. Eight months ago, UWEC was able to ship in a pair of tigers which since then had been in examination by experts to determine whether UWEC would be fit for their survival.

It is not an issue of speculation, on 25th November 2020; the Uganda wildlife conservation education center (UWEC) unveiled two tigers. We are yet to know whether they will do internal breeding since they have both a male and a female tiger.

The pair makes UWEC home to four of the five big cats. That is the Tiger, Lion, Leopard, and cheetahs. It is also made Uganda the only place in East Africa where you will find tigers
