Uganda’s Tourist Attractions Showcased in Guangzhou, China

More than 150 major travel agents, 10 carriers and 5 media companies in Guangdong region met at the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou in a evening of event named ‘Uganda Tourism Night”

The tourism promotion event was arranged by the Uganda Embassy in Beijing and Uganda Consulate in Guangzhou under the topic: “The Pearl of Africa: Awesome Land, Awesome People and Awesome Destination”

As per coordinators, the fundamental target of the event was to make and construct awareness of Uganda as one of the favorite tourist destination on the planet given the copious natural attractions and positive worldwide ratings.

Amb. Solomon Rutega, the Consul General also talked on the event, “We plan to give a platform to market Uganda’s differing tourist attractions and acquire more knowledge into the present trends in the Chinese outbound travel sector from major tourism agencies, including references for outbound Chinese travelers.”

Ms. Safie Ali speaking to the Uganda Tourist Board and Boss of the Uganda Tourism Association Mr. Boniface Byamukama, encouraged Chinese travel agents to also introduced safari packages to different interesting tourist destinations in Uganda and vowed bolster in recognizing potential regions of partnership in the tourism value chain. They likewise offered to plan a familiarization tour dedicated to the China market.
