Kanyamunyu’s Murder case adjourned to December 20

kanyazA case in which the Kampala business man Kanyamunyo Mathew and his girlfriend are facing murder allegations, has been deferred to December 20, 2016.

Kanyamunyu, his girlfriend Cynthia Munwangari and his brother Joseph Kanyamunyu are accused for shooting dead the child activist Kenneth Akena.

The trio showed up at Nakawa Magistrates court today in the morning to hear of their case in which they are accused of murdering Akena at Game Stores on November 12.

It is asserted that they will be permitted to document their defence against the charges on the following court sitting which is December 20.

They were however sent back on remand to Luzira Maximum jail.

Arraignment claims that on November 12 while at Game Stores, Kanyamunyu with Cynthia his girlfriend, purportedly shot Akena whom he blamed for scratching his car, and drove him to Norvik hospital where he died from.
His brother Joseph Kanyamunyu is hung on condition that the telecom printouts showed that he was contacted promptly after the incident, which sets him in place to have some knowledge on the incident.
