The Uganda leader of the top opposition party in Uganda; the National Unity Platform Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias “Bobi Wine” will be speaking at the European Parliament in Brussels at the S & D fifth annual Africa Week Conference.

The conference will be live-streamed at socialistsanddemocrats.eu, facebook.com/socialistsandd.

The S& D group stands for inclusive European society based on principles like freedom, fairness, equality, solidarity, social justice, consumer rights, sustainable development, financial market reform, human rights, and diversity among several other core aspirations.

Uganda is a very religious country that is still closed when it comes to LGTBQ rights. Homosexuality among other same-sex relationships is still illegal in Uganda however it is not considered one of the pressing needs of Uganda society.

Among the pressing needs in Uganda include; unemployment, abuse of home rights, health care, education,  and an unclear fate of democracy among several other pressing needs.
