Preliminary investigations reveal a tragic collision between two vehicles on Ntungamo-Mbarara Road
In a heartbreaking incident last night, Mr. Apollo Nyegamehe, popularly known as Aponye, lost his life in a fatal road accident along the Ntungamo-Mbarara Road in Itojo. The collision involved a Land Cruiser with registration number UBF 300Z and a stationary FUSO truck registered as UAZ 767D.
According to preliminary investigations, the Land Cruiser, en route to Kabale, collided with the stationary FUSO truck, which had encountered a mechanical problem and was parked alongside the road in Itojo. Tragically, Mr. Apollo Nyegamehe suffered fatal injuries in the accident.
His body has been transferred to the mortuary at Itojo Hospital. Two other individuals sustained injuries and were promptly transported to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for urgent medical attention.
