Queen Elizabeth National park has allegedly lost three lionesses at the electrified fence of Irungu Forest safari lodge. Uganda wildlife Authority the body in charge of conserving wildlife in Uganda is yet to issue an official statement in response to the three lost lions.

Queen Elizabeth national park is of the only two national parks in East Africa where tree-climbing lions are found. Poaching has been one of the biggest challenges affecting Uganda wildlife however, in this case, it was not poaching but negligence both on the side of the Uganda wildlife Authority and Irungu forest safari lodge.
