Uganda is famously known as the pearl of Africa, and a home to almost half of the world’s last remaining population of the critically endangered mountain gorillas. These are found in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in south western Uganda. The rest of the population is distributed in the Virunga chain of volcanic mountain ranges shared amongst Rwanda (Volcanoes National Park), Democratic Republic of Congo (Virunga National Park) and Uganda (Mgahinga National Park). Who ever interested in seeing the mountain gorillas in the wild, those are the only destinations in the world.
